PMC or Precious Metal Clay is microscopic particles of silver suspended in a binder to create a material similar to clay. It is molded, then fired to burn away the binder while the particles fuse together to form solid "fine" silver that is almost pure.

Unfortunately, the photo doesn't do this extraordinary piece justice. Fresh water pearls are finished off with a free form handcrafted fine silver piece with fine silver mesh embedded and small pearls dangling off the mesh. This necklace is versatile and can be worn with just about anything. A choker with a long dangle, this piece sells for $190.
Can be seen at the Gallery of The Catskill Mountain Foundation in Hunter
